How Are Movements Used to Effect the Viewer?
Crane Down- Feeling of falling into the world of the character.
Crane High to Low Angle- Makes character seem strong and opposing and creates a lot
of fear.
Handheld Camera- Feeling of uneasiness or danger.
Quick Pan- Changes emotional direction of the scene almost at one. The character is in danger
or has an obstacle to overcome.
Quick Push In- Feeling of surprise or shock.
Slow Dolly In- Creates tension. Makes us feel uncomfortable for the character.
Slow Dolly Out- Shows that the character is emotionally lost. Feel lost with them.
Dolly Across- Reveals action or change of the emotion in the scene.
Glidecam Camera- Creates an epic, dream like feeling.
Handheld Camera- Creates edgy, stressful feeling.
Glidecam 360 reveal- Give a feeling of that something is about to happen.
Zolly- Dooly+Zoom/ Overwhelming feeling like an out of body experience.
